Source – Bespoke Pest Control was contacted by a homeowner in Hertford, Hertfordshire, who had noticed a significant increase in wasp activity around their property. During our inspection, we carefully monitored the flight paths of the wasps and identified the entry point they were using to gain access to the building. A detailed survey of the loft space revealed a large active wasp nest hidden within the roof void.
Exclude & restrict – Due to the location of the nest within the loft, immediate physical removal was not the safest or most effective option. Our technician carried out a professional wasp nest treatment using a specialist insecticide approved for use in wasp control. The treatment was applied directly to the nest, allowing the worker wasps to carry the product throughout the colony. The loft area was then restricted until the treatment had taken full effect, ensuring the safety of the occupants and allowing the wasp population to be eradicated efficiently.
Manage – Following treatment, the wasp nest was left in situ for several days to ensure the entire colony had been eliminated. Bespoke Pest Control then returned to the property to confirm there was no remaining wasp activity and, at the customer’s request, removed the nest from the loft space. Whilst nest removal is not always necessary, many homeowners prefer the reassurance of having the nest physically removed once treatment has been completed. This successful wasp nest removal in Hertford, Hertfordshire, left the property free from wasp activity and ready for safe use once again.
